In 2002 Kees Wesselius, Niels Langendorff, Hans Huising and Mark Riemersma developed the TerraTrac, a small device equiped with GPS receiver which connects to a mobile phone. This device was used to follow the runners of Chess Engineering during the Roparun in 2002. The coordinates of the runners where send by SMS to a server which displayed then the position on the map. With the new mobile technologies and google maps new options were added to the site POI66 like http logging. The founder of POI66 asked me to develop an application for the iPhone which has the flexibility of automatic logging your position to the website and/or manually update your position using a button. The iPhone application POI66 is very easy to use. You can configure the application in the iPhones setting menu. To use the application you have to create a (free) account on POI66 and specify a unique number (best to use the IMEI of your iPhone) in the IMEI field on this website.
Then follow the next 6 steps
Then start the application and wait for an position update You can enter an albumtext which is sent to POI66 on the next position update or pressing the update now button. Q&A
No, this application is specially made for poi66
